Kitchen Garden
Grown Here
A working potager
Oak-edged raised beds, gravel paths and handmade oak fencing frame a kitchen garden that feeds the estate through the year.
We grow vegetables, salads, herbs and soft fruit alongside cut flowers for the house. Beds are fed with compost and manure from the estate, and crops are rotated to keep the soil in good heart.
Under glass
A glasshouse will extend the season, raising seedlings in early spring and ripening tomatoes, chillies and figs through the summer.
Cut flowers
Dahlias, sweet peas, alliums and cosmos are grown in rows alongside the vegetables, for the house and, in time, for sale.
